The Floating House is a very rare and special type of plot that spawns on pillars, accessible by building very high up a pillar or using the VIP commands, only at VIP Servers.

Locating

The easiest way to locate it is to access Private VIP server and teleport with an offset to 804 studs in Y. Given the right chances, the player will teleport near the floating house. The normal way of finding it is to locate the special pillar (a pillar with a color of gray around it) and to build up until you reach the house. The floating house's flooring should be behind the pillar, you can tell which side is the front and back by locating the pillar numbers.

The exact chance of a pillar becoming a special variant and containing the floating house is 1.0148137175024%, or approximately a 49.73% chance to spawn per server on average. Be wary that multiple houses can spawn in a single server.

The floating house spawns at an altitude of 800 studs (very, very high), and the pillar it spawns on has a light grey concrete texture at the base instead of black, There are other ways to discern the special pillar. (See below). The pillar can have damage but cannot have Electrical sockets, Ladders, or Palettes, it CAN have damage, or an error message on the laptop that would usually display your location as of 2.7. Before 2.5, it had a brown wood texture to distinct it from the diamond-patterned grey bases of regular pillars, You cannot obtain badges in Private VIP Servers so finding the chocolate will not give you the badge.

The Floating House is a reference to the Floating Sky Base in the animated series SCP Confinement, specifically Chapter 6.

The Floating House is structured of normal props and furniture items in a normal server. There is a chocolate bar inside in the floating house called "DEN GODA CHOKLAD", or "THE GOOD CHOCOLATE" in Swedish. It has a light blue wrapper and is based off of a real Ikea product. As of the 2.6 update, the chocolate gives 3 health and 85 energy points. Storing the chocolate in your inventory gives you the badge, "The Sacred Chocolate". This chocolate restocks twice every Monday and Friday just like all other food items. It is possible to have an infinite amount of chocolate in one server or to collect them. In private servers, you can artificially multiply chocolates by decreasing the day and night times.

Difference between a Pillar and a Special Pillar

A special pillar has a lighter base color than a normal pillar.

Trivia

• The "DEN GODA CHOKLAD" is Swedish and translates to "THE GOOD CHOCOLATE."
• Like other products found in-game, it can be purchased from Ikea. (Although, not under this exact name)
• It is unknown who built the Floating House.
• In v4121 Pre-2024 April Fools update, the King's "Idle" and "Whistle" sounds are constantly heard near the Floating House.

Strategies for Getting to the House

The first and easiest strategy is to get two flat or large items such as a bed or a pallet and keep placing them on the side of the pillar, each time raising them a bit from the previous object and repeating until you get to the house. If you put the objects at an angle and ascend them like a ramp, it can work to go up quicker and you will have less risk of falling off (as you will not have to jump as much). Another similar and less risky option is to tilt the objects at an axis where you can walk up them like stairs and wrapping around the pillar like a snake. The second strategy is way less practical, but gives permanent access to the house. You can have a group of friends continue getting flat or large objects and putting them like stairs going all the way up to the house. The third strategy is you use Ladders to climb up there. This will not be easy! Also, it may be beneficial to have a light source, such as a TV, so you can still see during the night. If playing on VIP, you can use the mod menu to teleport to the house.
